BIO Based in Barrie, Ontario, leader Brett Baird, age 19 in the summer of 2006, formed the Christian rock band Bright Side of Sorrow. BSOS consisted of Brett on drums, Eastview school mate Mike Pardy on guitar, church friend Dallas Wigston on vocals and Dave Tennier on bass. Musically, BSOS was influenced by Underoath, Number One Gun and Relient K. The band broke up at the end of the summer when Brett headed off to Pacific Life Bible College. MUSIC BSOS recorded one song in July 2006 with producer Jeff Wardell at Blue Box Studios in Barrie. "Let It Out" lyrics were written by Dallas with music by Brett and released as an indie, receiving airplay on LIFE 100.3 Barrie, CHRI Ottawa, GRACE-FM London and KAOS Peterborough. (click to listen) About the song, Brett says "let it out, let all your dreams feelings and thoughts out to God and He’ll guide you and give you the most amazing life you could have". "Blueprints", "Say Something" and "The Moment" remain unrecorded.
